Studio
hat is an independent studio for architecture and design, based in Milan.
We work closely with each client from the first sketch to the finished space. Every project starts with the site, the light and the people who will use it, and grows from there into buildings, interiors and objects that are simple, precise and made to last.
People
Hatem Murad
Founder
Architect based in Milan. Studied Architecture in Istanbul and holds a Master’s in Design for Architecture from Politecnico di Milano.
Before founding hat, worked for several years with international architecture practices in Istanbul and Milan, on projects in Italy and abroad, from the first concept through to construction coordination. That experience shaped the way hat works: one clear set of drawings, and designers, engineers and consultants moving in the same direction.
Design events and travel remain a constant source of ideas. Seeing how other people and other places approach design keeps the studio’s work open and curious.
